Why hacklab?

So you can learn new things from the world of software and hardware, to find help for developing some of your ideas which you thought that will never come to reality, to fix your life problems with some of the GNU/Linux distributions, to learn how to be safe and secure on the Internet, to get directions about Google Summer of Code or Gnome Women Outreach and a lot more other things.

The idea is everyone who is interested in free software, GNU/Linux, technology in general, computers, hacking (not cracking), networks, servers, electronics, free culture and society, gadgets, robots etc. to be able to gather, share experiences and knowledge, to discuss and experiment.

Do I need to be a member of the hacklab to be able to visit it?

No. KIKA is an open space and everyone’s welcome to join the current events or suggest new.

How do I become a member? How much does the membership cost?

In order to become a member of the hacklab, you need to be above 16 years old and also, you should send an email to info@slobodensoftver.org.mk.

The membership fee is collected from the 20th to the 27th of the month. The money is spent on renting and operating the hacklab.

I don’t want to be a member, but I would like the help the hacklab. What can I do?

You can come, socialize, host an event, share knowledge, tell your friends about the hacklab.

I would like to donate things that I do not use, what can I donate?

At KIKA, LEDs, resistors, microcontrollers, electricity, computers, power supplies, motherboards, hard drives and RAM are used constantly for various projects. KIKA needs infrastructure so if you have an oscilloscope, chairs, tables, shelves, armchairs, tools, electronic components and so on, would be more welcome. Do I need to be a member to join the regular events or the organized courses?

No, the events are free and open to anyone, while the organized courses are charged where some of the money goes to the lecturer, and the remainder being donated to the hacklab.

When is the hacklab open?

Can I come to the hacklab even though I am not a technical person?

Of course! People from all areas come together at our hacklab.

How do I organize an event?

In order to organize an event, you must first check that the term is free. Then, you should post an event that will have basic information like date, time and info for the event.
